KPMG Career Talk 2008

This career talk was organized by CPA Australia Student Charter Swinburne Sarawak on the 2nd of April 2008, on a Wednesday afternoon,. The guest speakers for this talk are from KPMG, one of the big four firms currently in Malaysia which specializes in Taxation. It was a two hour talk, with topics ranging from taxation, to advisory planning. All in all, more than 60 students attended the talk.

The speakers from KPMG are Miss Regina Lau Phui Ching, Miss Imelda Wong and Mr. Eric Yong. Two senior directors were also present, and they are Miss Tang Yeth Fong, and Miss Penny Tan Soo Fong.

Miss Regina Lau started the talk with an introduction to the world of KPMG, and also touched on the issues of taxation.

Many students attended this talk as the speakers had a lot to offer.


We had a short break before commencing with the rest of the talk.


Miss Imelda Wong came up and gave us a speech on auditing in the mining industry.


Mr. Eric Yong ended the talk with his part on internal and external audits in the workforce.

The talk ended at approximately 4pm after some light refreshments.
